In August of 2004, IPT – Technological Research Institute of the State of S. Paulo S.A. and Makai Engineering Services Ltd. Signed a long term technological cooperation agreement for developing joint projects and technical works together and offering to the international offshore industry technical services and engineering support for field and laboratory special testing programs aiming to the development and qualification of subsea control umbilicals and cables, flexible lines and similar structures.

With this partnership, the technological capability and highly appraised competence of the IPT's laboratories is combined with Makai's agility and specific experience in the area, and the synergy of such alliance is reflected upon the quality and reliability of the technical services that the partners offer to the offshore industry, always meeting the specific requirements.
